The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Data you type or paste into them is never sent to us or stored on a server. We collect only what's described below.
Calculator data
All calculations happen locally in your web browser. The 5 Whys tool saves your draft in your browser's local storage so a refresh doesn't lose your work; that draft stays on your device, and you can delete it with the tool's "Start over" button or by clearing your browser data.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. We use it only to reply to you and don't sell or share it. Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify, which may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested in order to deliver and secure the site. See Netlify's privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
This site may display ads served by Google and other third-party vendors. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Analytics
If we add site analytics, they will be used only to understand which tools are used and improve them, and this policy will be updated to name the provider.
Children
This site is intended for maintenance and reliability professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date above shows the latest version.
